BBL Moxi

Evansville, Henderson, Indiana

BBL treatments are some of our most popular non-surgical options for signs of aging. BBL Moxi is just one type of BBL treatment that we offer at Zieg Plastic Surgery Center, and is a great choice for those who are looking for a gentler treatment.

What is BBL Moxi?

BBL Moxi is a fractionated wavelength treatment. BBL stands for BroadBand Light, and is a type of intense pulsed light (IPL) cosmetic treatment. Moxi is a new device from BBL which was designed to suit a wide range of skin types. In particular, the treatment is an excellent choice for patients who are just starting out with IPL treatments.

How Does BBL Moxi Work?

BBL Moxi is a non-ablative fractionated laser, meaning that the procedure rejuvenates the skin without damaging or resurfacing the outer layer of skin cells. This makes it a gentler procedure compared to other types of BBL treatment, which is why it is a good option for patients who are new to BBL. BBL Moxi is ideal for treating early stages of sun damage or aging signs.

What are the Benefits of BBL Moxi?

BBL Moxi is a safe and gentle procedure which requires no downtime. Some refer to BBL Moxi as a “lunchtime procedure,” meaning that patients could receive the treatment over their lunch hour and return to work or other responsibilities immediately after if they chose. The treatment is completed in about 15-30 minutes for most patients. Unlike other treatments, BBL Moxi is also suitable to use on any skin type, and can be utilized year-round. Finally, BBL Moxi results are long lasting, with patients noting improvements for up to 10 years.

Who is a Candidate for BBL Moxi?

Patients who have early signs of aging, such as minor sunspots or fine lines, are often candidates for BBL Moxi. The treatment is also useful for patients who have other pigmentation issues and results in a more even skin tone overall. Finally, BBL Moxi is effective in treating minor texture issues such as fine lines and can create a rejuvenated and refreshed appearance.

BBL Moxi can be utilized in virtually any area of the body. The most common treatment site for BBL Moxi is the face, but it can also be used to rejuvenate the chest, neck, arms, or hands. It is best suited to those who have emerging signs of aging, but can also be a first-step treatment for patients who want to reverse aging signs.

I had a Sciton BBL treatment on the sun damage on my face. I'd tried a few different creams, and nothing worked. I had one treatment done, and they were gone! So happy! They are truly amazing!
